Bible Study Week 5

He's Got This

SCRIPTURE

MATTHEW 6:25–34

BACKGROUND & CONTEXT

In the story of creation, humans don’t make an appearance until closer to the end of the week. This means fields, trees, mountains, fish, birds, and all kinds of creatures experienced life before mankind ever took a breath. And since that first week in history, God has faithfully provided and cared for nature. In this passage, Jesus points to the truth of God sustaining every aspect of creation to reassure his people that God would do much more for his favorite part of creation, people.
