Hello Grace . . . my name is Karen Parker and I am one of your prayer partners this year.
I’m delighted you can be a part of Remembrance Ranch and you have this opportunity to go to camp . . . you’re going to have a great time!
Lifting you up in prayer as you meet new people, make new friends and learn about God’s everlasting love for you.
I really like this verse: For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. —Ephesians 2:10
God created you; there’s no one else like you and He is already present in tomorrow ahead of us.
My Gracie Girl, I have spent the afternoon remembering my time at Cran Hill when I was your age. It will be fun to compare stories and hear how much is the same and how much is different. I am confident one thing will be the same. I have memories of fun and new experiences. And also times when I felt sad or that I didn’t belong. But when camp was done, I was sooo glad I went. And I pray the same will be true for you. I love you with all my heart. Dad

Mom cleaned your room and it looks so nice. However, your bathroom mirror still has a big, drippy heart sprayed on it. I have no idea what you did that with (and probably don’t want to know). It is true that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I have always loved you so much. But, I find myself reflecting on so many deeper ways that I love and appreciate you while you are gone. You are a beautiful soul. I pray you grasp more and more how wonderful you are and who God created you to be. And you embrace your identity in Him and block out the negativity from outside voices trying to fill your head with lies about who you are. I will always be your biggest cheerleader. Hey, Gracie! I wait and wait and wait with my computer open to the facebook page in hopes of catching a live feed. And it never fails, a fire call or something happens and I miss it! Even though I haven’t seen much live, I still watch every minute. It looks like you are quick to jump into the activities (were you first on the climbing wall?). Watching you all try to communicate getting through the spider web without words was hilarious. You all seemed to be making monkey noises. Perhaps this is where Spider Monkeys came from?? I’m so glad you wrote about your bug bite. It’s one of my favorite topics.

Sounds like the horses are a popular activity. I was always so scared of them. My sister loved them. The horse must have felt my nervousness and decided to scare me away. It is so good to hear how busy you are at camp. Does your back pack seem lighter every day? You must be ready for the long hike. I hear happiness in your replies to everyone. That is a joy to me. I think about you all day & wonder what you are doing now. I haven’t heard any comments about the food. I imagine with all the activities you are really hungry at meal time do it all tastes good. Hope you are keeping a journal. Would love to read it! Stay safe! You are in my prayers every day & night. Just remember that Golden Rule!! We are never too young or too old to live our lives by it. Horsemanship Camp was my choice and I learned so much about horses and myself while I was there. We learned this year that when our location changes, there are things to discover. I was just at CranHill Ranch this past weekend! My family loves doing all of the activities and going to church at the Chapel in the Pines. We even saw the boys group who is just starting their week at the ranch. Fun fact: Brady pulled out his first tooth during church there on Sunday! It will be a memory we will never forget because it was a surprise and really funny. I hope you’re having an amazing experience so far! You are a special young lady with an amazing heart. You are creative. You are kind. You are loved! I hope to hear more about all of your adventures and growth. I’m praying for you regularly.
