Girls WAR: Trusting the Trainer

The morning kicked off in the round pen with the horses, where the girls witnessed a powerful example of trust. A trainer calmly worked with a horse, guiding it through gentle cues and body language. The horse wasn’t running or afraid—instead, it was focused, responsive, and attentive to the trainer’s lead. This became a beautiful visual of our relationship with God: just like the horse listens and responds to the trainer, we are invited to walk in step with God, trusting His guidance. The trainer didn’t use force or fear—just patience and presence. That kind of trust is what God desires from us too.

From there, the day took a colorful turn—literally! The girls had a blast making tie-dye shirts, each creation a reflection of their personality and creativity. Bright colors, big smiles, and messy hands filled the space with joy.

The afternoon brought adventure and challenge with archery and tomahawk throwing. The girls learned to stay focused, try something new, and cheer one another on. For many, it was their first time holding a bow or throwing a tomahawk—and their courage showed.

From heart-deep moments with horses to light-hearted laughter over dye-splattered shirts, today was a beautiful reminder that growth comes in many forms. Whether learning to trust like the horse or trying something new and a little scary, these girls are showing up, leaning in, and letting God shape their stories.
