Light in the Darkness!

Wow!  The last few days have been a whirlwind of ups and downs.  We try to focus as much on the “ups” as we can, and use the “downs” as opportunities to learn.

John 1:5 reads “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” After dark last night while sitting around the fire, I was planning to share my testimony however, a few of the boys were struggling to follow rules and we’re making bad choices causing the rest of the group to lose focus. I decided to move my testimony to another night. It seemed as though the “darkness” was winning.m, until four of the boys made the decision, on their own, to circle up and begin praying. What a powerful sight! The light these boys created gave me goosebumps!

Today was a great day! It was great weather for a trail ride!

The boys also completed problem exercises with the mini horses…this helps develop the boys problem solving skills.

We finished the day with the boys showing off everything they learned this week to their prayer partners.

The boys felt proud to show off their new horsemanship skills as the crowd cheered for them.

We leave tomorrow for the Manistee! Please pray for good weather and safety. Pray these boys are hearing our messages! We will be hiking 11 miles from Red Bridge to the Suspension Bridge along the North Countey trail. At times we may have limited internet access so be patient with us if you do not see a blog post right away.

SO PROUD of you Sam! It brought tears to my eyes too that you and your friends did this last night! Not surprised though 🙂

The world needs more people like you and your new friends to shed some light and positive attitude.
VERY proud to call you my Son!

Praying for safe travels to Manistee and for more great experiences with your group!

    Love you!

Praise to God for the light and for these boys that stepped up to seek the creator for help. For it is written in Matthew 18:20 “for where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am with them.” Praying for protection, strength and experiences that all life-changing for all.
    God Bless!
