Despite some rainy and cloudy weather Sunday, this amazing group of girls is truly finding joy! Sunday started with a church service they attended as a group. The message was based on Psalm 94:14 and finding joy in God’s purposes, God’s paradise, God’s praises and in God’s son – Jesus.

The girls worked on a communication skills. The first activity was sitting back to back and one girl had to look at a picture and describe to the other what she was looking at. The girl who could not see the picture had to try to draw it based off the description. Lots of giggles working through this one! After drawing, the girls did a Mission to Mars activity in which they had to work as small groups to determine only 3 items (out of a box full) they could take with them on a mission to mars. Teams worked together to problem solve. They had to overcome obstacles. There were struggles as they worked through, but all accomplished the task.

The biggest JOY moment of the day was the girls meeting their horses! There was so much excitement and joy as the girls met their horses and learned their names. The teens will work with this same horse for the remainder of their time at CranHill. The girls learned to groom, saddle and ride their horses.

Although the biggest joy of the day was the horses! The girls found joy in the little things too! I hear the waffle bar for breakfast was outstanding! And it looks like the girls found joy in even the littlest of critters at the farm! Day 3 begins today – keep the prayers coming. Pray for sunny skies to return and for the girls to keep the joy no matter what, because we can have joy no matter the circumstances when we turn to Jesus to fill our hearts!
