To be honest, I went to bed a little discouraged last night. Two of the teens had a few meltdowns and were struggling with the group. These meltdowns were pretty serious as TK vocalized he was “giving up”…he began calling us names and separated himself from the group. I told TK he had hurt my feelings. While TK had given up on us, its comforting to know God never gives up. He never gives up on me, and He didn’t give up on TK. As a staff we prayed for TK last night. I woke up early this morning and was on my knees praying for TK.
Kevin and I began waking the teens up in our normal way, singing of course! TK sat up in his bunk and I immediately went over and sat down next to him. “How did you sleep?” I asked. He looked over at me and said, “Mr. Patrick, I am really sorry for the way I acted yesterday. I don’t know what came over me.” My eyes filled with tears. I was so overcome with God’s awesome power and presence in our lives! It was like God was sitting there right beside us prodding him along. I gave him a hug and told him how much I appreciated the apology. He went on to apologize to Mr. Kevin as well.
God is working!!! Today will be a good day!!
I pray that you continue to let God have his way with you. Remember that no matter what God loves you!

Great work, Staff! You guys are amazing, God is amazing! I’m so thankful TK made a turn around. Praying for you TK you can do this buddy! What a huge step you made to admit you were wrong and apology.
Good news! Everybody messes up, but it is a true test of a man to see how he responds when he knows what the right thing to do is. It took a lot a maturity to apologize.

Making mistakes are a normal part of life, TK, but knowing when you have made them, and actually apologizing for them….now that takes maturity and strength. You have come so far since our year together…I am so proud of the man you have become! Taking such a huge step out of your box is what will make you stronger! God has so many amazing plans for your life! You are one of the most determined guys I know….use that trait for good!
Patrick, Kevin, and Katie….words can’t explain how thankful I am for the three of you to take the time to be there this week. This ministry is so exciting to watch and listen to day by day! You are changing lives forever, and I am so proud of each of you for giving of yourselves to love these guys! Just as all three of you have certain people in your life that are part of your testimony….these boys will always have you three as a part of theirs! Wow….what a privilege to be a part of this week! Thank you for all you are doing!
