Rooted in Truth, Rising in Courage

God is continuing to move in powerful ways at camp, and it has been so special to watch these boys grow—both in confidence and in their understanding of who they are in Him.

We started the morning in devotions talking about God’s greatest creation—His masterpiece: people. The boys leaned into the truth that they are deeply and unconditionally loved by God. There were some really meaningful conversations as they began to grasp that their value comes from Him alone. Seeds are being planted, and it’s beautiful to witness.

Out at the barn, the boys were challenged in new ways as they rode bareback—no saddle! This took trust, focus, and courage. They also practiced trotting, which gave many of them the opportunity to face fears head-on and push past them. It has been incredible to see their confidence grow as they realize they really can do hard things.

Because of some weather changes, we were gifted extra free time, and it turned into such a fun and connecting part of the day. The boys spent time playing foosball, pool, air hockey, and board games, and even held a pickleball tournament! Laughter filled the space as friendships continued to form and walls kept coming down.

The boys also had time at the rifle range, where they practiced focus, discipline, and responsibility. It was another opportunity for them to step into new experiences with guidance and encouragement.

We wrapped up the day with a shared meal and time together before ending the evening with Patrick telling the story of the Dogman—a moment that definitely had everyone listening closely and will not soon be forgotten!

We are so thankful for how God is working in and through each of these boys. He is building courage, strengthening relationships, and reminding them that they are known and loved. Thank you for covering this week in prayer—we are seeing those prayers at work every single day.
