Wednesday was a powerful day at Boys W.A.R. Camp—one filled with meaningful moments, deep connections, and courageous steps forward.
The boys spent time learning that God doesn’t just love us from a distance—He desires a relationship with us! He invites us to walk with Him, to trust Him, and to participate in the life He has created for us. This truth set the tone for the day as the boys continued to grow in their understanding of who God is and how deeply He cares for them.
At Cranhill, the boys had the opportunity to put their horsemanship skills into action during a trail ride. It was incredible to watch them apply what they’ve learned, working in partnership with their horses while taking in the beauty of God’s creation around them. These moments weren’t just about riding—they were about trust, patience, and connection.

Saying goodbye to their horses was not easy. For many of the boys, these animals became more than just part of the experience—they became trusted companions. There were some emotional goodbyes as the boys reflected on the relationships they had built. It was a beautiful picture of how trust and consistency can lead to meaningful bonds.
The boys also faced fears head-on as they stepped up to the zipline. What started as hesitation for some turned into courage as they encouraged one another to take the leap. It was powerful to see them cheer each other on, reminding one another that they are capable of doing hard things. The boys also had the chance to play archery tag—an exciting and laughter-filled activity that gave them one more opportunity to have fun together and build camaraderie before hitting the trail.

As the day continued, we welcomed our Weekend Warriors—mentors and men of God who have come alongside the boys to invest in them, encourage them, and walk with them. New relationships began forming quickly, and it’s already clear that these connections will have a lasting impact
The evening was rounded out with another counselor sharing his testimony. These moments continue to open doors for meaningful conversations and reflection.
As Thursday morning arrived, the boys packed up and said their final goodbyes to Cranhill, stepping into the next and final chapter of their W.A.R. Camp journey. They traveled to the Manistee River Trail, beginning their hike at the Red Bridge trailhead in Manistee National Forest. From there, they set out together toward Seaton Creek Campground—carrying with them the lessons, courage, and confidence they’ve been building all week as they step into this new adventure.

God is moving in big ways here at W.A.R. Camp. We are seeing hearts soften, courage grow, and relationships deepen—with each other and with Him!
