Today was filled with some great activities but a series of challenging behavioral situations.

We started the morning off with the horses and a riding lesson.  The lesson went very well and the kids were doing an amazing job menuevering and handling their horses.   They even had the opportunity to do some bareback riding.

Following lunch some of the kids did some tubing behind the speedboat.  What a blast.

We then went back for another horse lesson and to get the horses finely tuned for tomorrow’s show!  Following the afternoon lesson the boys sat down with Horsemaster Ms. Jaime as she spoke about her life.  She shared her amazing story of perseverance, life of service to others , and her commitment to following Christ.

This evening 13-year-old Jenna Marsman and her dad, Matt, presented information about Jenna’s business, Elite Designs.  The boys then had the opportunity to work with Jenna making their own t-shirts.

Throughout the day today several of the kids struggled behaviorally.  Testing limits, reverting to old habits, fatigue and emotional challenges resulted in behavior struggles.   In the end these situations provided opportunities for discussion, growth, prayer, and God’s guidance. Junior Counselor Matt stepped up during this time and made connections with several struggling kids.

Keep up the positive connections, although it may not feel like you are making an impact at the time….you are! God is using you for great things!

Remember if God brings you to it, he will bring you through it.
We are so proud of all of you leaders. I know it has been challenging at times but the boys are are so worth it. They are God’s children and you are helping them to be victorious.
Proverbs 11:14 states “Where there is no guidance the people fall, But in abundance of counselors there is victory.” Hallelujah and praise to God.
