Leaving Home

I’ve been thinking about what to post most of the day today. As I have been feeling a little nervous and excited for this trip I can only imagine how the teens and their families are feeling also. The thrill of the unknown, the expectations of new experiences, the fear of moving outside of ones comfort zone, and not being surrounded by the familiar comfort of family.

We can experience a lot of emotions in short span of time, and sometimes we may not know how to process them all. Isaiah 41:10 says “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
This trip these young men will make memories they will carry with them for a lifetime. God is moving and getting the week ready for us to have the time of our lives.

The trailer is packed, the van is gassed and ready to go, for some this may be a sleepless night as they are restless with anticipation for what adventure awaits them tomorrow. New friendships and bonds will be made over the course of the next nine days. We here at the Ranch are eager to see what God is gonna do at camp this year. My prayer is they may find Peace and Rest knowing God will strengthen them and help them.

Stay tuned for more daily blog posts from staff as we report on our daily activities. Keep us in your prayers as we smash down walls and help the teens push themselves to new heights and help them achieve things they never thought possible.
